2016年結成50周年ツアー「Hits 50!」は5月末の北米ツアーにて終了。その後ヨーロッパを中心とした、新たな「バック・トゥ・ザ・フー・ツアー」の本格的開始となった、初日9月10日ドイツ、オバーハウゼン公演と、2日目の12日同じくドイツ、シュトゥットガルト公演の模様を、いずれもハイクオリティー・デジタル・オーディエンス・レコーディングにてカップリング収録。セット内容としては、50周年を記念し公式リリースもされたハイド・パーク公演や、「Hits 50」ツアーとほぼ同様ながら、日替わりで「リリーのおもかげ」や「奴らに伝えろ（リレイ）」なども披露されており、最後のツアーともウワサされるだけにファンはやはり全公演要チェック。
