『The Joshua Tree』30周年記念ツアーの終了後の2018年春からは、2015年に行なわれた「iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE TOUR」のパート2となる、「eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE TOUR 2018」がスタート。 その北米ツアーから、、5月7&8日の2連続公演となったカリフォルニア、サンノゼの初日のライブを、137分にわたりコンプリート収録。
まずハイエンド器機「Schoeps CCM4」使用による肉厚サウンドは、巨大会場のスペクタクルやダイナミズムを見事に再現。 そしてセットの軸となるのは『SONGS OF EXPERIENCE』からのレパートリーで、この日も8曲が披露され、代わりに『THE JOSHUA TREE』からは一切演奏されておらず、「Where the Streets Have No Name」も「With or Without You」もないショーというのはある意味新鮮。その一方で、初となる『ACHTUNG BABY』の「Acrobat」や、17年ぶりの『POP』からの「Staring At The Sun」、そして「The Ocean」や「All Because of You」といった10年以上セット入りしていないナンバーが聞けるのは嬉しいところ。
