ジョン・ロードの最後の来日であり、イングヴェイとの共演を呼んだ2009年のジャパン・ツアーより、４月8&15日東京での2公演となった国際フォーラムでのライブを、イン・イヤー・モニターからの傍受音源とハイクオリティー・オーディエンス・マスターをフル活用してカップリング収録。まずこれは当日会場にて傍受された、イアン・ギランが使用していたIEMの音源マスターにオーディエンス・ソースもマトリクスすることで、ライブの臨場感も保ちつつ、バンド・サウンドもやバランスも均整が取れており、カンペキなサウンド・クオリティーにて2夜の模様を再現。そして本ツアーの初日が8日公演で、この日は開演直前にドン・エイリーのハモンドが故障するハプニングが発生するも、シンセをメインに使用することで普段とはやや違った音色が楽しめるあたりは要チェック。そして15日ツアー最終日こそがメインで、この夜ジョン・ロードがバンドに同行していたわけではないのに突然「Perfect Strangers」で登場し、ドン・エイリーとWキーボードを披露。さらに続く「Space Truckin'」の後に登場したのが、当日前座を務めたイングヴェイで、スティーヴ・モーズとのソロ合戦で盛り上げると、続く「Smoke On The Water」ではイングヴェイに加えてジョンも再登場というまさに特別な一夜となることに。因みに2012年に亡くなるジョンにとっては、これが日本のステージでの最後の演奏となったあたりも感慨深い、ファン必聴の来日限定メモリアル・アイテム。Disc 1 : 1.
