2016年9月4日、その1日限りの豪華フェスで話題となった「SAN FRANCISCO FEST 2016 ON THE GREEN」は、ウエスト・コーストを代表する5バンドが一堂に勢揃いしたもので、そのラインナップは、TOWER OF POWER、THE DOOBIE BROTHERS、STEVE MILLER BAND、SANTANA、そしてJOURNEY。そんな彼らが地元サンフランシスコ、AT&Tパーク”で開いたビッグ・イベントより、まず先に出演した3組（TOWER OF POWER、THE DOOBIE BROTHERS、STEVE MILLER BAND）のライブを、いずれも野外とは思えない良好クリアーなオーディエンス・マスターよりコンプリート収録。4万人規模のMLBサンフランシスコ・ジャイアンツの本拠地でもある野外球場ながら、PA付近での録音ゆえ、各バンドいずれも素晴らしいサウンドで収められており、特に2017年には来日も決定したドゥービーはこの直前までジャーニーと全米ツアーを行なっていただけに、全盛期さながらのパフォーマンスを披露。なお、このあとの出演となったSANTANAとJOURNEYはVol.2として同時リリースゆえ、是非セットで。 (Disc 1 : Tower Of Power) 1.
